METAL-FREE CROWNS AND FILLINGS [Top] Our office does not provide mercury silver fillings or crowns as a service to our patients and staff members. We believe in providing our patients with the latest in metal-free restorations. We take pride in placing your health as our first priority, including the safe removal of your old mercury silver fillings and the placing of more modern metal-free crowns and fillings. We use only the current state-of-the-art techniques and materials to provide you with the best possible treatment available. BREATH CONTROL PROGRAM [Top] Our office will help you in providing services that will help control bad breath problems. Ask us about these services when you call for a new patient examination or talk with our hygienist. INTRA-ORAL CAMERA [Top] One of the services we provide to all of our patients is a visual "tour" of your teeth to explore the health of your mouth. This safe and easy tour will open your eyes to how well your teeth and gums are really doing, as well as to any cosmetic concerns you may have. AIR ABRASION [Top] One of the exciting things about our office is that we offer air abrasion dentistry. This is where we can do certain fillings WITHOUT giving shots to numb your teeth depending on the depth of the cavity. SEDATION PROCEDURES [Top] One of the most important philosophies in our office is that every patient is comfortable no matter what dental procedure is performed on them. That is why we offer various sedation techniques ranging from TLC and stereo headphones, to nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") and oral sleep medications for your comfort. We also can use a registered anesthetist to provide general anesthesia for your total comfort. IMPLANTS [Top] Dr. Crawford will assist you in planning for implants in the areas where you have missing teeth. This may be in your smile area, in missing back teeth that make chewing difficult or if you have loose-fitting dentures. We can plan for beautiful teeth in these areas with restorations that stay in place and don’t have to be removed to clean all the time. COMFORTABLE ANESTHESIA [Top] We pride ourselves in giving the most comfortable injections available using proven techniques for the past 10 years. In fact, most of our patients ask, "did you give me the injection already?" or "I didn’t even feel that." This really helps in overcoming the fear of injections in the dental office. PANORAMIC X-RAY [Top] We take this fast and easy X-ray on most of our new patients (it takes about 60 seconds) and occasionally at your hygiene recare visits. It helps us screen for many things including growths and tumors that may be present in your jaws. A recent Food & Drug Administration approved device
is used at our office at all new patient examinations. It is called
"Diagnodent"
and uses a small battery-powered laser light to detect cavities in
teeth that can be missed by the usual examination done by dentists.
It is one of the most current and accurate devices to help us take
the ultimate care of our patients. 
Occasionally we take impressions for study models to more
closely examine your bite and tooth relationships. These help in
determining what
treatment will best suit you and also in designing your future
smile improvements.
